Zignature products are great for pets with food sensitivities and allergies because they are free of the most common allergens to canines like corn, wheat, soy, dairy, chicken, and eggs. Zignature's limited-ingredient, nutritionally complete meat diets are made with turkey and turkey meal, lamb and lamb meal, trout and salmon meal, whitefish and whitefish meal, or kangaroo and kangaroo meal as the first and second ingredients.
Zignature only uses natural ingredients in their foods, which means they never contain artificial flavors, preservatives, or colors. They are also free of corn, grain, wheat, soy, potatoes and potato starch. Potatoes have been identified as a high-glycemic binder for dog food and may cause potential problems with diabetic dogs. A food’s glycemic index refers to how quickly a food is turned into glucose and released into the blood stream after being consumed. Zignature only uses low glycemic binders such as whole chickpeas and garden peas.

Zignature and Fussie Cat are some of our favorite brands for dog and cat food. Take a look at the video below to learn more about them and their parent company, Pets Global.
As we discussed in last week's post, this month's featured food, Fussie Cat, is made by Pets Global, which is an independent pet food company with a strong passion for animal welfare. The company’s mission is to create food that is as close as nature intended, while making it reasonably convenient for busy people to use. Being independently owned gives them the freedom to create the best pet food without being hindered by corporate America.
