Do you have pets at home?
I currently have one dog! His name is Elliot and he is just under two years old. I am not quite sure on his breed but he is an adorable mix of what I believe to be boxer and mastiff. He is currently around 2 1/2 years old and around 90 lbs. He is very shy and timid but a total lap dog and giant baby. Once he is around you for a few minutes he will be your best buddy and never leave your side.
He is a lover of all dog toys but especially loves giant ropes to play tug of war, his squeaky hot dog, and giant outdoor sticks! His favorite food is Pro Pac and his favorite treats are Bravo Beef Trachea's. I got Elliott from a customer of The Pet Beastro. She had found him in the hands of some not so great owners and was looking for a safe home for him, she brought him into the store and I could not say no to such a cute face. Elliott was about six months old at the time.
Why did you want to work for The Pet Beastro?
I have always enjoyed working with animals, and once I saw an ad posted for The Pet Beastro and read what the business was about, I was really interested in learning the different options when it comes to pet health. It was a whole different part of the pet world and I was really eager to learn about it! I have always lived my life with animals involved. There was never a point growing up where I did not have multiple animals in the house. The idea of being able to help animals as a job path seemed like an obvious choice for me.
What have you learned by working at The Pet Beastro?
I have learned so much in my years working at The Pet Beastro, but I think the most important thing that I have learned is that there are very affordable and easy ways to improve your pet's health and well being! I have also learned that there is such a wide range of healthy and natural supplements to use in place of over the counter prescriptions and pharmaceuticals to improve your pet's health.
What is your favorite part of your job at The Pet Beastro?
The idea of being able to help animals with their health as a job path seemed like an obvious choice for me. My favorite part of working at The Pet Beastro is getting to know all of our regular customers and their fur babies! I really enjoy that customers feel that they can trust us and take our advice comfortably knowing we have the best interest for their furry friends in mind.
What is your favorite product at The Pet Beastro and Why?
I have quite a few favorite products at The Pet Beastro! Zignature, Pro Pac, Wondercide, and Fluff & Tuff are some of my favorite brands that we carry. Zignature and Pro Pac are very clean and healthy kibbles with a very good price point! I love to recommend these two products to people looking to make a switch to a healthier dry food option. Wondercide is my favorite natural flea and tick prevention product that we carry. I use it religiously on all of the hikes and adventures that Elliott and I regularly go on. Fluff & Tuff is my favorite toy brand that we carry because of its durability! My pup likes to destroy his toys and Fluff & Tuff toys last the longest for him!
What is your advice or best tip for pet parents?
The best tip that I can give for pet parents would be to treat your fur babies like family! Do the absolute best that you can do for them because they may only be part of a chapter of your life but to them, you are their world and entire life!
