We bake for ourselves as a treat, so why not do something special for them with our pet-safe and healthy options? Homemade cooking ensures; made with love, limited and pet-friendly ingredients, no fillers, and is customizable for your pet. As fall brings beautiful leaf changes and sweater weather, here are some ways to keep your pets warm inside with an opportunity to include pet-safe baking in your home. 

Below are the different baking goods we have available for your pups.

The Bear & The Rat

As we head into fall, this is the season we look forward to making soups, stews, homemade bread, and other recipes using your fall harvest. Just launched is one of our favorite pet-safe cupcake mixes for dogs. The Bear and The Rat (you may be familiar with their frozen yogurt cups) now have a great option with two flavors of cupcakes that you can bake as a healthy treat for your pup. Choose from:

• peanut butter
• bone broth

Each box includes a pet-safe frosting mix. These are a great addition to any birthday party as well!

Puppy Cake

Another great brand we carry is Puppy Cake; they carry kits and box mixes. The kits contain a silicone bone cake pan, cake mix, pet-safe frosting, and a candle! The flavors of the kits include:

• peanut butter
• pumpkin
• funfetti birthday cake

The box cakes include pet-safe cake mix and icing mix. You can get the box cakes in the following flavors:

• peanut butter
• pumpkin
• red velvet

They also make cookie mixes and ice cream mixes, including a special goat milk mix, perfect for even the pickiest eaters! Puppy Cake makes it a super easy choice as well; you can heat it in the oven or the microwave, they are all wheat free, and they are made in the USA. This is an excellent option for sharing at birthday parties!

Lazy Dog

Another pet-safe choice is the Lazy Dog Cake Mix, all-natural, non-GMO, wheat, corn, and soy free and made in the USA. These are all things Lazy Dog prides itself on. All you need for this cake mix is water and olive oil, making it a straightforward and efficient choice. This cake mix comes with vanilla cake mix and confetti frosting!

Himalayan Dog Chew

A great option for movie night is the Himalayan Dog Pupcorn; you heat it in the microwave and pop it just like you would with any other popcorn, but this popcorn is pet-safe with no kernels as choking hazards, and they’re made out of cheese! This is a fun option if you are having a night in with your pup and want to skip the begging eyes for our snacks as they have their own. Any leftovers can be used for treat-training in the future.
