FirstMate as a company got its start 30 years ago in aquaculture. Back then, they provided high-quality feed for salmon farms in the Pacific Northwest. This differs from most leading brands that spray the fats over large batches of food because it ensures that everything your animal needs is evenly in every bite!

All of our pups seem to have at least one pesky sensitivity, but if your pup is allergic to chicken, you may be in luck. Although you couldn't feed the chicken recipes, Firstmate has several other protein options. When you turn over the bag and start to read through the ingredients, you might see "Chicken Fat" listed and think, "well then, how would I be able to feed this food?". Firstmate uses chicken fat that is entirely free from chicken protein! This food can still be a safe option for our pets with chicken protein allergies!
