How to use Northwest Naturals Toppers for Picky Eaters

The possibilities of these meal toppers are endless. You can use these sprinkles to encourage eating for picky eaters, add to any dry dog food, dry kibble, canned food, or raw meat diets, or mix with warm water to disguise supplements or medication. If you use enrichment mats or slow-feeding style bowls, you can use this healthy topper for puppies to seniors and kittens to adult cats. One reason I love using these toppers is their versatility. With multiple animals in my home, everyone gets a quick shake of their meal. I have used all three varieties but currently feeding the salmon with mushrooms to my four cats and the beef liver to my dog Lance. Each formula has supplemental benefits from its ingredient profile. The salmon topper is currently being used to help reduce seasonal allergies. Whenever the temperature changes drastically, one of my kitties gets runny, goopy eyeballs, and is constantly sneezing. The mushroom blend is known to support the immune system. I love how easy these toppers are to add to any meal, and they feed well to even the picky pets.

Another kitty in my home has skin and coat issues. He is a long-haired cat and struggles with anxiety. The omega-3 fatty acids that come from the salmon support his skin & coat, and the B Vitamins support his nervous system, which I find helps reduce his anxiety. These awesome supplements disguised as a tasty treat have many benefits for each of my cats.

As for my dog Lance, he gets both of the other two flavors mixed into rotation into his dog food. I find the beef liver & turmeric has helped him for multiple reasons. For starters, Lance is an almost 15-year-old Pekinese. Over the years, he has become less and less confident with stairs and long walks as he's reached his senior years. Therefore I like to add anti-inflammatory components to his food bowl as much as possible. On the other hand, I also like the beef liver aspect due to my pup's yeast issues. As I said, Lance is a senior pup, so this topper also supports his organ health into his senior years.

The chicken and green-lipped mussels toppers are excellent support for hip & joint health. We have not had a diagnosed arthritis issue with my senior pup (though this topper helps relieve pain for just that). They help in maintenance cases as well. These toppers also help to entice my occasionally picky eater while also offering a variety of different flavors 

The variety of meat options, from chicken to beef to fish, is appreciated by my pet crew. Don't get me wrong, they love other toppers, but the options from Northwest Naturals make this one super easy to add to any meal.
